Overwatch 2 Busan Map Tips the Pig Clip Never Taught You

The pig is doing numbers on Korean clips. The high ground, the ledges and the spawn timing are what actually decide the point.

A pig on Busan is doing numbers across Korean Overwatch clips this week, and the map is back in everyone's rotation because of it. Here is the problem. The players sharing that clip lose the same first point every single game. Real Overwatch 2 Busan map tips have nothing to do with the environmental detail and everything to do with three sub-maps that each demand a different plan. Learn the differences or keep coin-flipping the map.

Real Overwatch 2 Busan Map Tips Start With the Sub-Map Draw

Busan is three maps sharing one name. Sanctuary, Downtown and MEKA Base score identically and play nothing alike, and the loading screen tells you which one you drew before the gate ever opens.

Most teams lock the same composition for all three, then wonder why they take one point and get rolled on the next. Read the sub-map, then commit to your dive or your brawl. That single decision is worth more than any aim improvement you will make this season.

Call the Sub-Map in Setup, Not in Overtime

The moment the sub-map loads, call the comp out loud and name the high ground you are taking. Ten seconds of setup comms replaces two minutes of five players drifting toward five different flanks. Teams that lock this habit hold first point far more often.

Sanctuary Punishes Anyone Standing Near a Railing

Sanctuary hands you the cleanest environmental kills on the map. The point sits low with open ledges on both flanks, and every knockback in the game turns those ledges into free picks. Lúcio, Doomfist, Pharah and a well-placed Sigma rock all convert there.

That cuts both ways. Holding the point edge while an enemy Lúcio breathes is a decision, not an accident. Play the inside line and force them to cross open ground to reach you.

Sanctuary also gives supports the shortest sightlines of the three sub-maps, which means your backline lives or dies on wall discipline. Anchor them behind hard cover with a clean exit, never in the open courtyard where a single flanker deletes the round.

Boop Timing Is a Coached Skill

Environmental kills look like luck from the outside and read as pure timing from the inside. GG Clan's Overwatch 2 specialists run Busan ledge angles with you live, calling the boop windows as they open. One session on a map you already queue beats twenty games of guessing.

Downtown Is a Sightline Map Wearing Brawl Clothes

Downtown looks like a street fight and plays like a sightline duel. The point sits in an open plaza with balcony high ground on both sides, and whoever holds those balconies decides where the fight happens. Hitscan eats on this sub-map. Melee-range tanks starve on it.

The side rooms are your answer to a stalled push. Rotating through them pressures the enemy support line without walking your whole team into the open plaza to die in a line.

Pick your damage around that geometry. A Widowmaker or Ashe holding a balcony angle dictates the entire plaza, while a dive tank with no height to drop from spends the round eating chip damage on the approach.

STOP LOSING FIRST POINT

Take the Balcony Before the Gate Opens

Send one flanker to the far balcony during setup instead of stacking at the choke. Downtown fights break the second a team loses one side of the plaza, and contesting that side early costs you nothing at all.

MEKA Base Rewards the Team That Owns the Catwalk

MEKA Base is the tightest of the three. The point sits inside the hangar with a catwalk overlooking it, and short spawn distances mean the fight resets fast and often. Dive works here. Brawl works here. Poke starves.

Hold the catwalk and you get free angles on everything below while your support line stays clear of the scrum. Give it up and you are fighting uphill into an enclosed space with nowhere to disengage.

Turn the Short Spawn Into a Weapon

On MEKA Base, regrouping costs seconds instead of half a minute. Never trickle back in alone after a death. Wait the four seconds for your second teammate and enter together, because a paired re-entry holds the point where a solo one feeds it.

How Control Scoring Actually Works on Busan

Control runs best of three. You need two points, and each point ticks on a capture percentage that only moves while your team holds the objective uncontested. Overtime keeps the round alive as long as one body stands on the point.

That structure pays the team that wins fights cleanly, never the team that wins them narrowly. A fight you take with four alive caps through the whole percentage. A fight you scrape at one health each hands them a re-contest before the number moves at all.

So stop chasing the last pick. Once the point is yours, the correct play is regrouping on cover and holding the percentage, not sprinting into their spawn corridor to trade yourself out of the next fight.
